The term transducer is by definition a device that transforms a form of energy, force into an electrical signal. A pressure transducer is therefore a device which measures pressure using a sensitive element to convert it into a usable signal. A pressure transducer converts pressure into an electronic signal, while a pressure transmitter also amplifies, modifies, and sends that signal. Regardless of these differences, the important thing is to have the right output signal.
